The data, compiled by user TechEpiphany from what is claimed to be Amazon’s sales records, provides a rare glimpse into consumer purchasing habits within the retailer.

The GeForce RTX 5070 led the charts with approximately 6,100 units sold, followed closely by the RTX 5070 Ti and the evergreen RTX 3060 which recorded 2,900 sales. AMD’s Radeon graphics cards also saw notable activity; the RX 9060 XT moved 2,850 units while the RX 9070 XT sold 2,250. AMD’s share of the overall sales – roughly 23%– appears to exceed current market estimates for its discrete GPU market share globally. Intel’s Arc series performed considerably lower in comparison, with the entry-level A380 being its top seller despite limited specifications and core count. The Arc B580 garnered a modest 100 sales.

An anomaly emerged when analyzing the GeForce RTX 5060’s performance: an unusually low average selling price of $185, significantly below the card’s typical retail value of approximately $300. This discrepancy raises questions regarding the accuracy or potential recording errors within the reported data.

Perhaps most strikingly, the sales data highlighted significant purchases of considerably outdated graphics cards. A surprising 100 units of the GeForce GT210 were sold at an average price of $35, while twice that number purchased the GT610. The GeForce GT710 experienced even greater demand with 1,050 sales. These older models, widely considered to offer limited performance even upon their initial release, suggest a segment of consumers prioritizing affordability and compatibility for older systems where demanding gaming or intensive graphics tasks are not required.

The total value of RTX 5090 sales – reaching $3.8 million– provides context for the high pricing often associated with Nvidia’s premium GPUs. While concerns remain regarding the complete reliability of TechEpiphany’s data source, these figures underscore a dynamic market where both high-end and obsolete technologies continue to find buyers.
