Coral Island Adds Multiplayer and Romance Features in Major Update

The popular farming simulation game, Coral Island, is receiving a significant update introducing cooperative gameplay and expanded relationship options for players. Developed by Stairway Games, the title places participants on a picturesque tropical island drawing inspiration from Southeast Asian cultures, tasking them with revitalizing farmland, restoring coral reefs, fostering community connections, and developing relationships within a diverse population.

Following a previous roadmap announcement, the highly anticipated 1.2 update, dubbed “Multiplayer and Romance,” is scheduled for release this Thursday. The central addition allows up to four players to collaborate on farm management tasks. A cross-play functionality is included, permitting Steam users to connect with those playing on Xbox or PlayStation consoles; however, connections are currently limited to one console player per Steam user, and direct cross-play between Xbox and PlayStation remains unavailable at this time.
