Fortnite Chapter 6 Season 4 Brings Power Rangers and Bug-Themed Update

Epic Games has launched Fortnite Chapter 6 Season 4 today, August 7, 2025, introducing a vibrant “Shock ‘N Awesome” theme centered around a bug invasion and featuring a collaboration with the Power Rangers franchise. Following a recent live event involving Superman and the destruction of Demon’s Domain, the new season delivers significant changes to gameplay, map locations, and available content.

Players can now access Halo-themed character skins through the Battle Pass. The update incorporates four notable points of interest: The Hive, Rangers Ruin, OXR HQ, and Swarmy Stash, visually transforming sections of the island landscape. A cinematic trailer, presented in a live-action style reminiscent of the Power Rangers television series, showcases the Rangers teaming up with new characters against insectoid adversaries.

Teasers released prior to the launch hinted at the bug invasion, highlighting the introduction of OXR units – identifiable by their distinctive grey and orange armor – and teasing new weaponry designed for pest eradication. New additions to the loot pool include an OXR minigun, a modern assault rifle, and the Swarmstrike, a multi-rocket launcher equipped with laser targeting capabilities.

The “Shock ‘N Awesome” tagline is now officially integrated into the game’s branding, reinforcing the insectoid theme and emphasizing the Power Rangers collaboration. The storyline builds on events from the preceding Fortnite Super Showdown live event where Superman assisted players in defeating a large tentacled creature that appeared over Demon’s Domain.
