The presentation featured a diverse selection of independent titles, ranging from metroidvanias to life sim RPGs, with several available to play immediately.

Yacht Club Games, renowned for the Shovel Knight series, revealed Mina the Hollower, slated for release on October 31, 2025. This action-adventure title follows Mina, a skilled Hollower, as she strives to save a cursed island, boasting familiar pixel art and musical aesthetics alongside challenging environmental hazards. A playable demo is accessible today.

Well Dweller, a metroidvania developed by the creator of Crypt Custodian and Islets, will launch in 2026. Players control Glimmer, a tiny bird armed with a matchstick, on a quest to defeat a wicked queen and rescue his family from becoming part of her gown.

Coldblood Inc., co-founded by the pixel artist behind critically acclaimed games like Celeste and TowerFall, is debuting Neverway. Described as a “nightmarish life sim RPG,” it follows Fiona, who restarts her life on a farm before being drawn into the role of an immortal herald. The game arrives in 2026.

Okomotive, creators of FAR and publishers of Firewatch, announced Herdling. This adventure tasking players with guiding and protecting Calicorns across a treacherous alpine landscape is set to release on Nintendo Switch and PC on August 21, 2025. It’s portrayed as an “emotional, wordless tale of trust, survival, and companionship.”

Is This Seat Taken?, a cozy puzzle game focused on matchmaking social situations, launched today for the Nintendo Switch. Players must strategically arrange individuals based on their preferences in various scenarios, from cinema outings to crowded bus rides.

The popular Little Kitty, Big City is receiving “The Picture Purrfect” update later this year, adding a cat customizer and expanding explorable areas alongside new characters and photo mode options.

Finally, the online co-operative horror roguelike Content Warning, which gained traction on PC in 2024, will be available for Nintendo Switch and its successor platform in 2026.
