iOS 26 Beta 6 Introduces New Ringtones, Live Translation Hints, and Camera Adjustments

Apple has released iOS 26 beta 6, the latest iteration of its upcoming mobile operating system, incorporating several refinements as the company nears the finalization of the software’s development. The update, distributed on Monday, signals a phase of concluding adjustments before the anticipated public launch in approximately one month, coinciding with the culmination of Apple’s summer-long beta testing program and transition to the new Liquid Glass design language.

The latest version incorporates six variations of the previously introduced “Reflection” ringtone, alongside a novel audio option titled “Little Bird,” both slated for inclusion in the official iOS 26 release. A visual element within the beta also offers a glimpse into an upcoming Live Translation feature. Currently under evaluation within Messages, FaceTime, and standard phone calls, this functionality is reportedly being extended to AirPods, enabling real-time translation during face-to-face conversations – although it remains unavailable at present.

Significant modifications have also been made to the camera system. A “Classic Mode,” previously introduced as a toggle that reversed the direction of mode selection, has been eliminated and its default behavior adopted across all camera functionalities.
