Mafia: The Old Country Receives PlayStation 5 Pro Enhancements Ahead of Launch

Hangar 13 has confirmed that Mafia: The Old Country will be officially enhanced for the PlayStation 5 Pro console, alongside the game’s launch tomorrow, August 8th. Details were released via social media and accompany previously shared PC specifications outlining performance options for both PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X consoles.

The upcoming action-adventure title, set in 1900s Sicily and following protagonist Enzo Favara as he delves into the roots of organized crime, will offer players a choice between Quality and Performance modes upon release. Performance Mode is targeted to maintain an average frame rate of 60 frames per second (FPS), while the specific frame rate for Quality Mode—prioritizing visual fidelity and resolution—remains unspecified. The developer’s announcement did not address performance expectations on the Xbox Series S, suggesting a potentially reduced frame rate on that platform.

Pre-orders for the Standard and Deluxe editions of Mafia: The Old Country are still available, including access to the Soldato Pack containing exclusive in-game content.
