New Test Bench “der8enchtable” Streamlines Component Testing for Enthusiasts

The collaboration between thermal interface material manufacturer Thermal Grizzly and renowned overclocker Roman “der8auer” Hartung has yielded a specialized test bench, officially launched after garnering a design award at Computex 2025. Dubbed the der8enchtable, this platform is geared toward overclockers, content creators, hardware reviewers, and those who frequently swap computer components for testing purposes.

Initially conceived as an internal tool for Thermal Grizzly and Hartung’s Elmor Labs, the project evolved into a commercial product designed to circumvent the limitations of traditional PC cases. A core feature of the der8enchtable is its integrated printed circuit board (PCB), which centralizes connections for storage devices, cooling solutions, and peripheral accessories, simplifying hardware configuration.

Cooling management comprises three independently controllable fan zones, each equipped with three 4-pin headers delivering up to 3A of power along with a dedicated pump zone featuring two 4-pin headers. Users can select individual speed profiles or delegate control to the motherboard. Storage connectivity is provided by two onboard SATA ports and an additional two outputs, alongside mounting locations for two 2.5-inch solid-state drives and four microSD card slots. Connectivity extends further with four USB 2.0 Type-A ports and two USB 2.0 Type-C ports. Power delivery occurs via a single PCIe 6-pin connector, complemented by a 9-pin USB header for motherboard integration.

By consolidating numerous connections into a single hub, the test bench significantly reduces setup time and minimizes downtime when swapping components—a particularly valuable feature for reviewers and overclockers regularly modifying hardware configurations. Priced at €229.90 (approximately $268.98), the package includes all necessary mounting hardware, brackets, cables, Velcro straps, and Allen keys. While conventional PC cases retain their appeal for permanent builds, the der8enchtable presents a compelling combination of convenience, integration, and robust construction within its niche category.
