A resident of South Carolina’s Midlands experienced an unexpected windfall after purchasing a lottery ticket, claiming she received her wish following a heartfelt prayer. The woman, whose identity has not been released by officials, bought a $20 scratch-off ticket at the City Fuel & Food gas station on Bush River Road in Columbia on August 1st.

According to a statement released Friday by the South Carolina Education Lottery, the woman recounted praying for a lottery win while driving, and subsequently purchased the ticket from an unfamiliar location. Upon scratching the ticket, she reportedly discovered symbols indicating a $2 million prize.

“I was shaking when I signed the ticket. It’s a dream come true,” she stated to lottery officials after claiming her winnings. The woman confirmed that she has already cashed in the ticket and intends to contribute a portion of her earnings to charitable organizations. The gas station, City Fuel & Food Inc., received a $20,000 commission for selling the winning ticket.
