Thermalright Unveils M.2 SSD Cooler with Integrated Digital Display

hermalright has introduced a new accessory for enhancing both the performance and aesthetics of M.2 2280 solid-state drives: the HR-10 2280 Pro Digital cooler. Building upon its existing HR-10 2280 Pro model, this updated version incorporates an ARGB digital display providing users with real-time data regarding their SSD’s operational status. Available in both white and black colorways, the device displays key metrics such as operating temperature, sequential read and write speeds, and drive utilization levels directly on its integrated screen.
The HR-10 2280 Pro Digital necessitates a connection to the motherboard via a standard USB header and requires installation of Thermalright’s Control Center (TRCC) software for functionality. To facilitate efficient heat dissipation, the cooler utilizes four 5 mm copper heat pipes which transfer warmth from the SSD to an aluminum heatsink. Included with the unit is Thermalright’s Extreme Odyssey II silicon thermal pad, boasting a high thermal conductivity rating of 14.8 W/mk. A 30mm PWM fan, capable of spinning between 3,500 and 6,500 RPM, actively expels heat from the heatsink; this fan requires a dedicated 4-pin header on the motherboard to regulate its speed.
