Trump Mobile Delays Smartphone Launch to October

Trump Mobile Delays Smartphone Launch to October - readd.org 2025

The launch of Trump Mobile’s anticipated smartphone, the “T1 Phone,” has been postponed until October, according to a spokesperson for the Trump Organization. The delay marks a shift from the company’s initial plan to release the device in August, following its June announcement of Trump Mobile – a new cellular service and handset venture spearheaded by Donald Trump’s sons, Eric Trump and Donald Trump Jr. Preorders for the T1 Phone were opened at the time of the launch.

Trump Mobile’s service will utilize 5G connectivity through “The 47 Plan,” priced at $47.45 per month – a symbolic reference to former President Trump’s two terms in office. The company’s website details that the subscription package includes additional features.

The T1 Phone is currently listed for $499, requiring an initial down payment of $100. While previously stating that the phone would be assembled domestically, the company now describes the device as “designed with American values in mind,” emphasizing its performance, aesthetics, and competitive pricing. The smartphone incorporates AI-powered face unlocking, an in-screen fingerprint sensor, 256 gigabytes of storage, and runs on the Android 15 operating system, incorporating a USB-C port and a traditional 3.5 mm headphone jack.

Entrepreneur Pat O’Brien was introduced as part of Trump Mobile’s launch team, according to Reuters. Speaking with the news agency, O’Brien indicated that the company intends to initially offer a single phone model before expanding its product line. He confirmed considerable preorders for the T1 Phone but did not disclose specific figures.
